Our client, Wren Laboratories Ltd produces a range of friendly bacteria supplements under the brand name ‘Optibac Probiotics’. The award-winning range is sold in the UK, Ireland and over 30 international markets via multiple different sales channels including pharmacies, health food stores, grocery or online retailers and more.

They are now looking for an experienced and dynamic Procurement Coordinator. You will support important operational tasks by maintaining situational awareness, confidently making nuanced yet robust decisions, completing accurate administration and always demonstrating a keen will-to-win.
Procurement Coordinator, the role:
- Acting as the Supply Chain lead for National Accounts and host the monthly S&OP meetings
- Maintaining efficient packaging stock levels to ensure a suitable balance between working capital, warehouse space, unit cost price and scrappage risk
- Planning and delivering efficient but cost-effective transport and logistic solutions
- Developing an extensive knowledge of NetSuite (ERP system) to facilitate daily operations and ensure continuous system improvements
- Supporting the administration of Inwards Processing operation
- Being responsible for Packaging Waste Regulation (Extended Producer Responsibility)

Procurement Coordinator, the person:
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), Lean Six Sigma or similar qualification would be advantageous
- Experience of working within a similar, procurement/supply chain role (ideally in a production environment)
- Knowledge of inward processing, logistics and shipping requirements
- Understanding financial and system parameters affecting inventory management (COGS & Asset accounts, costing methods, cost estimate types and General Ledger impact)
- Recognition of procurement and financial specifications affecting international supply (import and domestic VAT, duty, tariffs etc)
- Expert in Microsoft Package – especially MS Excel
- Flexible and creative mindset - able to understand, implement and review complex processes
- Organised and resilient team player with great communication skills
- Commercial awareness
