Electrical Fitter

Segensworth, Fareham

Permanent, full time (early finish on Friday)

Salary: £18.00 - £25.00 per hour

Our client, Syos Aerospace, is a pioneering aerospace company at the forefront of utilitarian autonomous vehicles. They specialize in development of cutting-edge unmanned vehicles and are expanding their production capability across a range of sectors.

Due to continuing development and expansion of their operations, they are now seeking experienced Electrical Fitters/ Prototype Wirepersons to join their brand-new team in Segensworth, Fareham. You will be playing a crucial role in working with the design team to implement the designs into a physical product and complete testing.

Electrical Fitter, the role:

• Assembling and installing electrical, and electronic components into autonomous systems
• Assisting with trials and various testing as required
• Supporting the development of standard operating procedures and work instructions
• Conducting quality checks and inspections to ensure that products meet defined tolerances, specifications, and performance criteria
• Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other team members to address production challenges, implement process improvements, and optimize workflows
• Complying with safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Electrical Fitter, the person:

• Previous experience as an electrical fitter in a marine environment or alternatively prototype wireperson in a space and defence company is a must
• Familiarity with creating wiring looms, wiring complex electrical assemblies and installing electrical fittings into large capital items
• Good understanding of electrical drawings and ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and General Assembly instructions
• Great problem-solving abilities, working within an evolving process, generating innovative ideas and ensuring any design or build issues are highlighted
• Strong attention to detail and quality, with a commitment to producing high-quality electro-mechanical products
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, procedures, and technologies
• British Passport or Settled Status is a must
• Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)
