Our client Furuno UK Ltd, part of the Furuno Electric Company group is a world leader in marine electronics. They specialise in providing cutting-edge products and services to various markets, including commercial, deep-sea fishing, yachts and superyachts, land, marine-based security, safety and environmental systems.

They are now looking for a bright, personable Area Sales Executive to join their team based in Havant, Hampshire. This is a key role within the organisation, it involves a mixture of office-based and external sales visits, supporting the delivery of the Group sales strategy across all existing markets whilst actively exploring and developing new routes to market.

Area Sales Executive, the role:

• Drive growth across all current leisure and small boat business channels

• Act as the technical sales expert for the leisure and small boat product range

• Prepare accurate technical quotations based on vessel specifications and customer needs

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the sector

• Provide aftersales advice and commissioning support to ensure customer satisfaction

• Deliver monthly reports on sales activity and performance within the sector

• Plan, prepare, and attend trade exhibitions, representing the company professionally

Area Sales Executive, the person:

• Passion for working in a technical sales environment

• Knowledge and/or experience of the UK marine industry (advantageous)

• Strong IT skills including ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent customer service attitude with strong relationship-building skills

• Confident communicator and collaborative team player

• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability

• Higher education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience in marine/electronics (preferred)

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK (with some international travel)
