Our client is entrepreneurial and dynamic company founded in 2013. They specialise in the development, distribution and management of luxury, cosmeceutical, spa and retail brands. Creative, yet commercial, the company has been achieving strong year-on-year growth with the team rapidly expanding to support the ongoing growth of the company and development of their portfolio both in the UK and internationally.
To join them on their exciting journey, they are currently looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to support the Head of Finance in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and maintaining full balance sheet control.
This is a fast-paced, high-volume role that would suit a commercially minded finance professional with strong management accounting and month-end close experience. The successful candidate will supervise a small finance team, oversee core financial operations, and play a key role in driving process improvements and financial discipline across the business.
Finance Manager, the role:
- Manage the month-end close process within tight deadlines (5 working days).
- Supervise a small finance team, ensuring smooth and accurate financial operations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts with detailed variance commentary.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across ledgers.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Manage VAT returns, stock, and inventory control processes.
- Handle daily financial transactions and reporting within Xero (experience with NETSuite, ERP systems, or similar advantageous).
- Weekly cash forecast planning.
- Support and oversee trade finance and invoice finance functions.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Finance on ad hoc analysis, reporting, and process improvements.
- Contribute to policy development and assist with external audit preparation.
- Utilise advanced Excel skills to monitor, interpret, and report on financial data effectively.
Finance Manager, the person:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) preferred.
- Proven experience in month-end close, management accounts, and reconciliation.
- Previous experience within a fast-moving, product-led, or FMCG environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and expert knowledge of financial systems such as Xero or ERP platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with exceptional attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team.
